Answer
Visit your local public library. They should have a recent copy of Scott's catalog, it doesn't matter if it is not the current year as prices for most items have been reasonably stable over the past few years. The catalog should illustrate the grading for centering. If there are holes, tears or thins on the stamps they are probably worthless. There are many varieties that can make a .10 stamp seem like it's worth alot more. Generally, if there is a choice of a 1000.00 variety and a .10 variety it will be the lesser valued one. Do not try and remove them from the pages or from any envelopes. Good luck!
